Question by Ghostly: Infection on Penis, need some advice.?
Alright so the skin connecting the shaft and the glans has been very raw for the past couple months and I’m sick of putting things off, it’s time to get myself healthy so I can finally live life. If I can almost completely recover from an anxiety disorder I can recover from this.. so here goes.
I’m a 20 year old male from FL and I recently noticed that my skin that connect the shaft was whiter than it usually is and was very raw (it hurt a tad bit as well). So I decided I would wash twice a day and hopefully see some improvement.
After about a week it feels better but doesn’t look any better, so I started using a triple anti-biotic ointment and a few days after that I developed a rash on my penis head that had small red bumps but at that point there was no other symptoms. (I stopped the ointment immediately)
The second day after that there was a tremendous amount of itching and localized pain on the tip of the penis right of the urethra .
Now on the third day the itching has almost completely gone away, and so has the pain. Now the foreskin (all around the circumference of the penis) has become red and at the top it has some discomfort almost as if the skin is tightening or burning like a sunburn, can’t tell which it is because sometimes it hurts, but it’s not harder to pull the foreskin back.
Here’s some info
- No STD as of last test (haven’t been sexually active since)
- Have average at best penile hygiene but take two showers per day.
- Smegma started appearing on the penis under the foreskin. (Very unusual for me to have any at all. I haven’t had any at all since I was little)
- Also started using hydrogen peroxide. (Might be causing some irritation in the urethra but can’t tell because it doesn’t burn it’s just red)
- Not running a fever or anything like that, feel good otherwise.
I can’t go to a doctor right away because I have to switch to a new one and I’m not sure about an urgent care facility in the meantime. Is what I’m doing to take care of my problem going to suffice for a week or so until I can get into a doctor?

my god do you really need an answer here what in the hell are you doing, get to the doctors immediately it could be a sexual transmitted disease, have another test for it and for god sake dont have sex with anyone even protected sex is not 100% safe. It could be just an infection but untreated wont get better.
