Can I take my child outside to play in the snow if she has croup?

Question by Ashley: Can I take my child outside to play in the snow if she has croup? She has already recieved an oral dose of steriods at the hospital for her croup which apparently she has a very stridorish croup. I know its good to have them in the cold to help tone down the swelling. She is like a normal child during the day and she has a ton of energy. Is it okay to let her play outside in the snow? Question by Rainbow: Is it possible to have croup at 8 yrs old? My child is prone to croup and has had it a few times before. The last episode was maybe at age 6. I was just curious why a warm mist humidifier wouldn’t work.
